Either called Sungnyemun (soong-nyeah-moon) or Namdaemun (nahm-dae-moon), the northern entrance gate to Seoul was built in 1398. It was purposedly set on fire by an arsonist in 2008 before being fully restored in 2013. (The photo was taken in 2007 before the arson incident.)
