Is it true most high school students in Korea attend college after graduating from high school?

Is it true most high school students in Korea attend college after graduating from high school?

Yes. Many reports indicate that up to 80 percent of high school graduates in Korea go to college. This percentage is the highest of any country in the world. The reason why so many Korean teenagers attend higher education is because there are not many jobs available for high school graduates in South Korea. Many companies require a college degree as a must for employment. This policy generates a lot of criticism. In many situations, they are just looking for a diploma even without looking at the major. The type of work required may not demand any college education. However, companies still prefer college graduates over high school graduates. (It's not like there is a shortage of college students.)
