Can you explain the politics in South Korea?

Can you explain the politics in South Korea? I want to know the systems and consciousness.

Politics in South Korea is very similar to that of the United States. There are two major parties, one conservative and one liberal. The balance of power is mostly even between the two parties, the conservative party having a slight edge at the moment. The younger the person, the more likely he or she is a liberal.

The mass media tend to be slightly more liberal than conservative, especially with TV networks. Newspapers, on the other hand, are much more conservative in general. Because less and less people are reading newspapers nowadays, many major newspaper companies are trying to make the transition from the newspaper to television.
